The following is a sample of the topics covered in just our foundations training. Each Master Course comprises of its own mastery skillset and training subchapters as well.

Chapter 1: Laws and Licensing
Overview of laws governing the permanent cosmetics industry, including FDA and OSHA regulations, state licensing requirements, and ethical considerations.


Chapter 2: Health and Safety
Focuses on practitioner and client safety, addressing infection control, common diseases, and safety protocols.


Chapter 3: Color Theory
Introduction to the basics of color dynamics, color wheels, and exercises to understand hue, saturation, and value.


Chapter 4: Pigment Theory
Explores the components, characteristics, and types of pigments, as well as the difference between permanent and semi-permanent pigments.

 

Chapter 5: The Importance of Color
Discusses factors affecting color retention, including skin type, external influences, and environmental factors.

 

Chapter 6: General Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin
Covers the structure, functions, and medical conditions of the skin relevant to micropigmentation.

 

Chapter 7: Facial Skin and Aging
Examines the anatomy of facial aging and introduces techniques for skin rejuvenation and balance.

 

Chapter 8: Adverse Reactions
Identifies common and uncommon side effects of tattooing and provides guidance for managing allergic reactions.

 

Chapter 9: Common Skin Problems
Reviews common skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis, with a focus on their implications for micropigmentation.

 

Chapter 10: Hair and Scalp Problems
Details the causes and stages of hair loss, common scalp conditions, and treatment options.

 

Chapter 11: Micropigmentation Primary Equipment
Introduces different types of tattoo machines, types of needles and their uses, power sources, and other tools necessary for procedures.

 

Chapter 12: Operational Equipment
Covers equipment such as client and practitioner chairs, PPE, sanitation supplies, and disposables used in the practice and why each is important.

 

Chapter 13: Foundations of a Tattoo Procedure
Provides foundational knowledge of tattooing techniques, including depth, speed, and movement.

Note that all of our courses are a mentorship, one-on-one program. Each registered student does all of the coursework at home, at their own pace, with support from your mentor. Once the course is complete, which averages about 2-3 months per course, the student will then come in for the hands-on internship/mentorship to work on live patients and models. Depending on the courses that are taken, these hands-on events can range between 3 to 7 days.
